Probabilities and EV from the remaining shoe
Choose the number of decks and adjust the cards still in the shoe. The calculator clearly separates normal pre-deal play from first-exposed-card study. In exposed-card mode, the selected card is removed automatically from the shoe and fixed as Punto’s first card. Banco payout also separates commission mode, selectable at 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, 1% or 0%, from No Commission, where a Banco win with a total of 6 pays 1:2.
Normal game: Pre-deal calculation from the remaining shoe, with no cards from the new round already exposed.
With commission: Banco pays 1:1 less the selected commission.
First exposed card — Punto
Select the first card dealt to Punto. It is removed immediately from the visible shoe and all probabilities are recalculated conditionally.
Remaining shoe composition
Adjust the cards remaining in the shoe. 10, J, Q and K are zero-value cards and are grouped together.
Exact probabilities
EV per 1 unit wagered
| Bet | EV |
|---|---|
| Punto | — |
| Banco | — |
| Tie | — |
Exact composition-dependent calculation under standard Punto Banco drawing rules. Tie pushes Punto and Banco wagers. In exposed-card mode, the selected card is already outside the shoe and fixed as Punto’s first card.
How to read the result
Probabilities are calculated from the actual remaining composition. EV compares the theoretical return of Punto, Banco and Tie wagers under the selected payout. To connect EV, variance and capital, also use the bankroll and risk-of-ruin calculators.
